San Francisco chef to open Menlo Park restaurant

Greg Kuzia-Carmel, who has cooked in the kitchens of notable restaurants from Per Se in New York to Cotogna, Quince and Outerlands in San Francisco, is opening a restaurant in Menlo Park.

It's about time that someone's realized there really are discriminating diners down the Peninsula. We have to go to San Francisco to get consistently innovative seasonal and market-driven fare and generally pay more for mediocre offerings here where we live. We had dinner at Cotogna last Friday night (wonderful--except for the 1 hr-plus rush hour drive) & again bemoaned the fact that we had nothing like it closer to home. Maybe that's about the change....
