Reactions to Reyering incident

An email by Woodside town volunteer Nancy Reyering, which led to a months-long ethics investigation that cost the town tens of thousands of dollars, adds up to a "very unfortunate incident," said Councilman Peter Mason, who is mentioned prominently in the email.

The Town and Mayor owe Nancy more than a cursory apology. She has been a dedicated volunteer for many years. To go after her - and in such a personal way, because of a Desk Item that was well within her purview is patently ridiculous. And hiring a Private Investigator at the expense of town taxpayers. Seriously?
Why would anyone ever want to volunteer for any committee when the staff and council view them with such disdain?
