The Town and Mayor owe Nancy more than a cursory apology. She has been a dedicated volunteer for many years. To go after her - and in such a personal way, because of a Desk Item that was well within her purview is patently ridiculous. And hiring a Private Investigator at the expense of town taxpayers. Seriously?
Why would anyone ever want to volunteer for any committee when the staff and council view them with such disdain?
