Summit Prep resumes classes after 911 call

Redwood City police are reporting that the emergency incident at Summit Preparatory Charter High School is over, that students are back in class and the roads that had been closed are open again.

False Alarm- student reported hearing popping noises that he/she thought were gun shots. Nothing to see, move along folks......

According to my niece who was ther, a kid from the school called the police because he thought he heard shots being fired. It was actually a nail gun being used across the street. With the sound bouncing and echoing, it must have sounded pretty scary.

The police needed to assume someone was armed in the building and shooting a gun, that's what was reported. They did what they needed to do to ensure the safety of all.
