False Alarm- student reported hearing popping noises that he/she thought were gun shots. Nothing to see, move along folks......

According to my niece who was ther, a kid from the school called the police because he thought he heard shots being fired. It was actually a nail gun being used across the street. With the sound bouncing and echoing, it must have sounded pretty scary.
The police needed to assume someone was armed in the building and shooting a gun, that's what was reported. They did what they needed to do to ensure the safety of all.

Deeply relieved, this was only a false alarm.
