This seems to be much ado about nothing. Last year, Sarah Wernikoff skipped her turn to be Mayor but got the nod this time around - unanimously! Judith Hasko is now Vice Mayor and will have a turn at being Mayor next year. They are both smart, highly capable members of the Council.

Portola Valley has far more important challenges than this one.

Thank you to all the Town Council members, both old and new, for their dedication to Portola Valley. I am in awe of all of them. But in particular, I sincerely thank Jeff Aalfs and Sarah Wernikoff for their long service in very trying times.
