I knew him when he was a high school student. He comes from a very solid family. I will be interested to see what some of his positions are especially those surrounding reforming campaign finance, lobbying, and overall electoral mechanism reform.

Peter is one of my neighbors and is top notch. This is thrilling news and I will work hard as a dedicated citizen to get him elected. I hope others will do their homework early so as to get involved and get him elected. We need Peter in leadership in Washington.

It will be nice to have someone with a military background. We need more former military serving in local and national government.

It is great to see another Marine ready to pick up the torch that was once carried so well be Pete McCloskey.

I also support Peter's candidacy; his Marine and other life experience, his principles and beliefs, and his youth will serve us in good stead. This is a grueling job, as Anna Eshoo has stated, and seniority is valuable. Let's put someone in who will be there a while.
