And she has proven to be incapable of listening to what the public overwhelmingly wants on the most simple, yet important topics. Not a great feeling.

The job of Mayor is not to listen to what the public wants (which seems to be code for "only what I want regardless of the legality or fiscal responsibility")... but to lead the City into a strong financial and legal position for the long term.

Unless your goal is to bankrupt and dissolve the city to force the county to take over.

GPS, what’s fiscal about maintaining the name of a community leader? What’s wrong with preserving history? That shouldn’t be a difficult decision, but should be something the where the public’s opinion matters. That’s called community. Why try to bury it or hold a placating meeting when the city clearly had already made a decision. The city government is for the people, sorry to disappoint you.
