This is a dangerous intersection for anyone on foot or a bike. The “no right turn on red sign” is small and frequently ignored. Please, please adopt these recommendations before someone is hit.

An observation I have made in the past is that when an issue is primarily in one council members District the other council members will generally support the stance of the council member whose District is being affected. I actually like this policy because it gives council members more of a say and how their District operates an issues that are important to their District. That said this is what I see in regards to the naming decision.

I support the fact that they are at least keeping the name for the community center, so in effect nothing has changed. As I understand it the decision was only to not expand the name to the entire center, is that correct?

A quick solution would be if kids got off their cell phones when crossing the street. No one pays attention anymore.

Drivers as well. In the last couple days I have seen at least 4 incidents where drivers not paying attention almost caused an accident. In 3 of those it was drivers who didn't bother to stop or look before making a right turn and almost got hit by the car they cut off.
