The good news is that much of the staff that brought you many of these issues have resigned. Hence the 70% staff turnover. Our new manager and Town Council is on it. A reboot at City Hall will be a net positive for Portola Valley.

I wish our new Town Manager well in his efforts. On meeting Mr Etman recently, I found a man who is committed to getting matters in order and, I believe, capable of doing so. He is to be applauded for being honest and open about the "state of play".

It is alarming that PV is facing these challenges, something that one might lay fair and square at the feet of Mr Etman's predecessor. Important Town Business was not conducted appropriately, and the shortfalls of administration allowed to go unreported.

Looking ahead, I'm confident that we will see a well run Portola Valley which focuses on the right issues and can discuss them as friends.

Out with the old and in with the new. I'm sure everyone will welcome Mr Etman as a breath of fresh air

I agree with the hopeful comments posted so far. The negligence of the previous administration, long suspected by many residents, has now been laid bare by an independent auditor. I am sorry it took so long to move the old out and begin a new, hopefully more diligent, Town government.
