Quake alert from Sacramento County sparks confusion among Bay Area residents

An emergency alert for an earthquake in Sacramento County reached Bay Area residents’ phones Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., causing confusion among residents who were not close enough to the earthquake to feel it.

I am sure that some confusion (my confusion) resulted around the fact that a scheduled earthquake practice alert was scheduled.Since nothing was felt here thought that this was it although I thought the great shakeout alert day was Oct. 19......who can forget it?
