Woodside pushes back on grand jury report criticizing its reliance on accessory units as affordable housing

The Town of Woodside is pushing back on the San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury's recent report which calls out Woodside and other local jurisdictions for relying too heavily on backyard accessory units to meet affordable housing needs.

The Regional Housing Needs Allocation was based on projections several years ago of continued strong growth in California's population.

Will these housing numbers be adjusted for today's projections from the state finance department? "California Exodus: Once growing rapidly, state population projected to remain the same through 2060"

Mr Davis is 100% correct:
"the state Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) conducts a study to determine how much new housing California needs to meet the ever-growing demand.
"Ever Growing Demand"? - The only EVER GROWING DEMAND is that of our elected & appointed officials for more power & control over YOU! As state is losing middle- & upper-middle class residents, San Mateo county is hiring 120+ new employees!

We must vote out those in power or it will never stop!
