Menlo Park seeks to become regional draw for interior design

A new collaboration of Menlo Park businesses is looking to turn the city's downtown into a regional destination for interior design projects, bringing together 20 local design stores for the first time.

Downtowns need to have an identity like this to distinguish themselves and survive. Being a draw as design district will help support Menlo Park's restaurants and other shops.

I hope that the city council will provide support for the design district even if you can't bring home a piece of furniture on a bicycle.
