Gavin should create a plan to fix CA schools since he & the "Ruling Party" have created the very low performing CA Public school system. More money is not the answer. Competition & vouchers will force the public school unions to compete for students.
We need a change at the top. Not just more promises and higher taxes!

Pretty sure its Prop 13 in the 70's that created the current Public School system, that was not Newsom. Just stop with the vouchers already, if you want to send your kids to religious school you can pay for that out of pocket.

Anyone who has ever had kids go through the school system knows that the predictor of academic success is the involvement of the parents in the child's learning. Dumping money into school isn't going to change that. Low performing schools have more parents that are less educated, work longer hours, and tend to be less involved in the education of their children. When you look at successful kids from low performing schools you will see involved family. They read to them early, they help with homework, and they involve themselves. You want better performing schools? You have to fix that.
