A formula that reportedly involves pastrami can be found at Wursthall in San Mateo.

With a sandwich that basic and yet that complex and satisfying, I didn’t think it was possible to ruin a pastrami sandwich. But Wursthall managed to do it … by morphing the pastrami into a sausage.

Maybe it can give you the rush from good pastrami traditionally prepared, but I think you have to try really hard, divorcing the form of the thing from the taste, which I was unable to do. Maybe if I ate another one. Nah. It’s actually somewhat reprehensible.
