Sequoia district to lift its indoor mask mandate next week

For the first time in two years, students and teachers in the Sequoia Union High School District will have the option to not wear a mask in classrooms. Starting on Monday, March 14, the district is dropping its indoor mask mandate.

Angela,

Did SUHSD provide per school student vaccination rates?

Was there any information on how student vaccination information was collected?

Did students/families just check a “I have been vaccinated” box, or was proof/record of vaccination required?

Resident, I'd also asked the district about this.

The district got the student vaccination information from the California Dept of Public Health's California Immunization Registry (cairweb.org) website.

I was glad to see at least 83% of students are fully vaccinated and almost 86% are at least partially vaccinated. That's pretty close to Sequoia Union High School District staff who are just over 87% vaccinated.
