Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that the utility tax expired when the city council failed to renew it a few years back and since it had expired that it now required a city wide vote to create a new utility tax. Is this not the tax that Betsy Nash wanted to raise in order to finance other council initiatives. Let's just end this tax and if it is so important go back to the voters to make that decision.

Brian:
you are correct, the utility tax has expired. But our council is ignoring that and waiting on the outcome of the lawsuit that has been filed to stop collecting and hoping they won't have to return undeserved taxes.
Basically, the council just gave all us residents a big eff you, their belief in the need to shove electrification down everyone's throats trumps the law.
