A grassroots movement to preserve nature turns 50

When you see the foothills, mountains and Baylands of the Peninsula, you may think about the hiking, biking or riding trails that wait to be explored. But behind much of that nature access is one predominant organization: Midpen.

I agree. Thank you Midpen and POST! Nice to see the photos of founder Nonette Hanko, and the team that achieved the first 10,000 acres milestone back in 1981. 65,000 acres today!
