I saw this bird yesterday on an eastern corner side house on the northbound lane of Newbridge street at Menalto in East Palo Alto. I thought at first he was an oddly large Eurasian dove with weird colors.

He also caught my attention because he seemed awkward in his flight up and down from pine tree to weeds in the yard that he was in.

I sure hope birders get to see him before he heads out the Bayland behind Facebook or Bedwell park and gets eaten by on of the Kite Hawks or Peregrines out there.
