John was a force of nature and his straight forward approach wasn’t always appreciated or understood by some.

I enjoyed his ability to get right to the point and not sugar coat what was on his mind when we spoke, or worked together, on some of his many projects.

In the end, I always knew he trying to make something good happen for the community and that was enough for me.

Silicon Valley and the region has lost both a development legend and local leader who truly epitomized what a real “shaker and mover” actually looked like.

His many accomplishments speak for themselves and are enjoyed by tens of thousands of people each year. His legacy and generosity will live on.

My condolences and respect to his family.
