Both Duncan and Mercedes Williams were good friends, in fact they lived next door to my apartment here at The Sequoias. Duncan taught me to ice skate, beginning in 1956 when I arrived here from Atlanta. (Not much ice skating in Atlanta!). Very nice article -- thanks!
