Student COVID vaccinations: California becomes first state to require them for kids 12 and up

Gov. Gavin Newsom added COVID-19 to the list of diseases students must get a vaccination for to attend school.

What could possibly explain why children and teens will have a vaccine mandate, but adults in the school such as their teachers will not? Adults are far more likely to have a severe case of Covid.
