Seeing this building demolished is personally very sad. My grandfather, Martin McCarthy, operated a thriving independent grocery store there for many years, losing to Safeway in the 60’s. I wish I could have had one last stroll through a place that brings warm, happy memories of many hours spent “helping” Grandpa.❤️
