Eleanor McLoughlin, longtime Menlo Park resident, dies shortly after her 100th birthday celebration

Eleanor McLoughlin, who recently celebrated turning 100, died at her Menlo Park home on April 19. Her family threw a drive-thru party to mark her milestone birthday at the Church of the Nativity earlier this month.

My condolences to the family. My father was friends with Joe and Eleanor and was their Mailman for decades. I remember him going into the shoe store when I was a kid to "shoot the breeze" with Joe.

Living first a few doors down and then above them was always a pleasure.
