A mountian lion jumped a 6' yard fence at Webb Ranch around 9pm last night and made off with a mini Aussie that was in the fenced yard with two buddies. The assumption is that the dog is deceased.

I’m so sorry for the owner of the dog. I do wonder—when are people going to realize that you cannot leave your pets out unattended at night? The creek across Alpine is a very well known mountain lion route with regular sightings on camera of our local lions. Certainly all the open space at Webb is lion and coyote territory, and the deer are starting to come out now as well. Again, I’m so sorry for your loss.
