Newsom blasts 'naysayers and dooms-dayers' as he touts pandemic progress

I am a Democrat and personally I want to see Newsom gone from office as fast as possible. I want a politician that has a moral compass, not one that sleep with his friend and Aide's wife. I want a governor that is not a hypocrite, who tells Californians to shelter in place and not gather with others outside of their household and then goes to a party with members of several households, indoors in an expensive restaurant. California can do better, much better, than Newsom and we should. I support the recall and I hope we get a new governor that I can respect.

I agree with Enough completely.

And let's not forget that during the past six months, our state has sent $31 BILLION to people that didn't qualify for benefits. Many of the recipients are in prison or even worse, in OUT OF STATE prisons.

$31 BILLION. Just during the last SIX MONTHS! Our state's entire annual budget is $220 billion. Governor Newsom's administration squander 15% of it. That was OUR money.

As a response, the state has now frozen ALL benefit applications which means that those who are truly in need and deserving are being denied their DESERVED benefits.

The ineptitude of our state government is breathtaking.

We are a laughing stock in California. Gavin has hurt our state financially, emotionally and ethically. Gavin is a very poor role model for our state. Remember when he called California a nation-state. This man isn't smart enough to lead California. And he surely isn't qualified to run for President someday.

But we, the morons of California who vote in incompetents like Newsom, will likely either keep him in office or replace him with some Democrat even farther left. And, what, really, is $31B when CA is awash in funds primarily from capital gains taxes, and to top it off we are going to get a huge infusion of taxpayer’s money (free money everyone!) from the $1.9T Covid bill. So, between us chickens, $31B is chump change. There’s plenty of money there, and if we start spending too much (if there is such a thing), we’ll just print up a bunch more! Isn’t governing fun? Hey, let’s all go to the French Laundry for a drink. I hear the state and federal governments are buying!! (P.S. the sarcasm is free!!)
