New parking fee, lower visitor cap on the horizon at Foothills Park

After seeing a spike in visits to Foothills Park, the Palo Alto City Council moved on Tuesday to sharply curtail the number of people who can enter the scenic preserve.

I haven't yet been to visit Foothills Park, and I'm looking forward to being able to do so. I also understand the need to limit the number of visitors. However, a parking fee seems to unfairly affect people with less means. $6 might not seem like much, but that could be lunch for a child.

there are parks one can go for free, so a child won't go hungry.

my take is charge non Palo Alto residents 25$ per day to use the park and Palo Alto residence a nominal amount. they paid to build the park and the others didn't,

Quite frankly they should charge Los Altos Hills residents $100 for rejecting helping pay for the original park...[Portion removed due to disrespectful comment or offensive language]
