Two more burglaries in Atherton, lead in theft of $800K worth of jewelry

Two more burglaries have been reported in Atherton, which has seen nine burglaries so far this year. Police also have a lead on the Dec. 8 theft of $800,000 worth of jewelry.

Although the reporting of the burglaries is important, the extensive detail of how they got in and what was taken is disturbing. The map also details what specific area in which the burglaries are occurring. It seems like a road map for further burglaries is being laid out for criminals. Less detail, no description of entry points and no specific information about dollar amounts could achieve the same goal of informing citizens.

So advertising where the LPR's are located is not bright.
Neither is not having a 2nd floor alarm OR canceling an alarm.
Costs nothing for a police response...

I’m glad the entry details were made public as I realize now that my house is vulnerable in a similar manner. I’ve got some exterior work to do today!

Really bright to cancel a police response when an alarm is activated. Always have the police check your residence.
