Really interesting perspective. Thank you for writing this article. I was unaware that most of what we see in our local forests is younger than I am, and the result of simultaneous regrowth, and not nature emerging in its own course. The fires have been devastating, especially to those who lost their homes, and we are indebted to the brave firefighters. It's a bright spot to think that going forward the areas in SM County will be healthier.
