Rep. Eshoo, mental health advocates push for suicide prevention legislation

The House Energy and Commerce Committee recently passed three bills related to suicide prevention, which Rep. Anna Eshoo said is even more urgently needed due to COVID-19.

How do the current suicides per month compare with the rates in previous years. We hear a lot of numbers about the deaths from the virus but I hear nothing about the deaths from the lock-down. Are there also more deaths now from over-doses and alcohol related deaths?
