Community leaders host frank discussion on racism in Menlo Park

Last Thursday evening, a group of local community leaders broached the challenging topic: What can be done to combat racism in the Menlo Park community?

Until we are allowed to discuss the root causes of racism, without being called a racist, there will be no peace.

I seriously doubt whites in liberal Menlo Park are calling cops because they see a biracial kid minding his own business. Unfortunately, parents often have a blind spot and are unaware or dismissive of certain behavior...

Let's ask the MP PD. Did people actually call officers out in the noted instances? If so, why? What was your determination of the situation?

If so that is sad. I've said it before, if you are not of color you have not felt the sting of racism in our town.
