I don't understand why preventing the spread of COVID19 is more pressing and acute than spreading any other flu virus annually. Can you explain why we are taking these more extreme preventative steps now vs. with annual flu season which apparently kills so many more? Why is this so much more amplified than that? Thank you.

"than spreading any other flu virus"
It's not a flu virus.
If this goes rampant, it will kill more than the flu.
Try reading some of the CDC reports.

Because COVID-19 is at least 10x more deadly than the flu, based on current estimates. COVID-19 will also guarantee a mandatory 2 week quarantine and make you a social outcast.

"COVID-19 will also guarantee a mandatory 2 week quarantine and make you a social outcast."
This will only happen IF we as citizens turn ur backs on our neighbors. My neighborhood association has established the following policy:
"Park Forest II Homeowners Association
BOARD MEETING MINUTES, March 3rd 2020
Excerpt:
COVID-19.
If any of our members find that they have been exposed to Covid 19 and need to self quarantine in your home please advise (the HOA President). Our entire community will then organize to take care of your shopping needs and to provide non-medical support. "
