Wouldn't a better solution be to improve the Bell Haven and EPA schools. All of MP should be part of the MP School District and EPA should be part of the Palo Alto School District.
Every child deserves an equal opportunity to have a quality education without schlepping for an hour to a better school.

Free fruit is easier and something that Las Lomitas has control of. Ravenswood School District has been a mess since the 70's so any fix will not be quick or easy.
That said the free fruit idea is a great one. The schools should talk to the residents in their district, I am sure a lot of fruit on local trees is going to waste and can be gathered and given away to the students.
