Driver charged in hit-and-run that killed Facebook employee

Charges of felony vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run have been filed against a man related to the death of a bicyclist, a Facebook employee on his way to work, in August, the Fremont Police Department has announced.

Rest in peace. Is there any information about what caused the collision? Distracted driving? DUI? Is this an automatic felony because the driver didn't immediately call for help before the victim died in the street?
