This statement is WRONG. No such conclusion was reached!
The town-owned property committee investigated the property adjacent to the Frog Pond for affordable housing and concluded that Portola Valley should move ahead in tandem with the Portola Valley School District to create housing for teachers and only if there would be no damage to the Frog Pond.

This article mid-states what the Ad Hoc Committee decided. It most definitely did not recommend that the school and town move forward with housing on this strip of open space next to the Frog Pond Park. Rather, it merely kept the land on a list that includes three other parcels as possible future sites for housing, but one member claimed it was in the list only if there would be no damage to the Frog Pond.
