Ravenswood community weighs pace, transition of closing two elementary schools

Parents and others who have attended public meetings on consolidating schools in the Ravenswood City School District appear split over whether to close two schools next fall or to close one next year and the other after that.

I attended the Tues morning meeting and really appreciated the transparency and format that allowed many voices to be heard and recorded in small groups. It's not an easy decision, but Ravenswood is doing a good job with the process.

Esta super salio peor que la que se fue. Al menos la otra solo queria cerrar Belle Haven pero esta dos. Donde estan esas maestras tan enojadas que casi querian pelear con los miembros de la mesa directiva. Ahora para ellos esta bien que se cierre. Por que ese cambio tan drastrico? Les prometerian un puesto con mas pago. Eso es lo que hacia la super de antes. Miro que vamos por el mismo camino. Lo que deben hacer es estar de empleando mas gente en la oficina y de darles aumentos tan grandes a las secretarias. Es ridiculo.
