Atherton committee to weigh off-leash dog park at Nov. 6 meeting

An Atherton committee decided to continue to explore the concept of building an off-leash dog park in Holbrook-Palmer Park at its meeting last month, despite reservations from tennis players.

Place it at the corner of Watkins and the train tracks, within the park.

These will go mostly unused as can be witnessed in the other cities that currently have this type of dog park. They'll be sprinklings of users now and then, but sadly most dogs get very bored in these pens. The dirt pens outside Shoreline Park in MV are mostly used by a few dudes with aggressive unfixed male dogs.

Thankfully though, MV and other cities have made better accommodations for owners and their dogs since the old days when these dirt pens were considered a good idea.
