Bay Area: One-cent sales tax for transit could be on 2020 ballot

Bay Area voters may be asked to approve a one-cent sales tax in 2020 that would fund a wide array of transportation projects and improvements across the region.

They want to go to the state legislature so they can max out sales taxes at 11.25%? And they wonder why people want to leave the state?

Let’s start by getting more value for the money we are already spending. Answer questions like why are we paying BART more for reduced ridership? Why does the head of SAMTRANS make so darn much money and produce such crap results? Same with VTA. We’ve been paying a BART tax for years and it stops in Daly City. This is yet another way to fleece the voters and taxpayers and enrich the bureaucrats.

Enough is enough.
