Woman who embezzled charitable funds from Menlo Park insurance company to serve jail time

A 59-year-old Fremont resident was sentenced Aug. 7 to three months in county jail after pleading no contest to embezzling more than $26,000 from Farmers Insurance in Menlo Park.

She's paid back the money. Unless she is considered a danger to the community it seems to me that some additional time in a creative restorative justice arrangement would be a reasonable alternative to incarceration.
