Adjacent Cities use the 1% of total development cost as a metric for public art payment. So many up and coming artists who specialize in this type of work could add a tremendous, unique and beautiful texture to our “developing” communities

I strongly suggest interested parties meet with RWC Arts Commission and RWC Parks and Art Foundation. They are doing public art right!

Can't wait for the libertarians to step up with fundraising. After all, they claim non-profits are the way to go.

It is a town responsibility.

The prospects of revitalizing public art is exciting. Art comes in many forms, such as film, music, drama, sculptures, painting, poetry, murals, etc. Seeing a proliforation of public art in neighboring cities, such as Palo Alto, Atherton and Redwood City gives rise to the potential in Menlo Park. With city support spear headed by Mayor Ray Mueller, this proposed Foundation could make a noticeable and lasting difference. I fully support it and look forward to seeing what the group comes up with in the days ahead, whether it is simply decorating utility cabinets or providing inspiring works of art.
