Menlo fire district replacing oldest station

The Menlo Park Fire Protection District will eliminate a significant part of its history when it replaces the oldest of its seven stations, Station 4, in the next couple of years.

"The district is estimating that it will take a year from now to get approval from the city for its plans.."

Fortunately Station 4 is located in the unincorporated area of San Mateo County and the plans will therefor be approved by the County and not the City of Menlo Park - which historically has caused long delays in Fire District building approvals.
