"Restore the Arctic, Restore the Climate: Tue. May 21, 1:30-2:30 Little House Distinguished Lecture Series

Original post made by Judy A, Menlo Park: Downtown, on May 13, 2019

In 2018 Carol Sontag, an RN at the Palo Alto Unified School District and volunteer at Ice911, accompanied researchers from Ice9112 on their trip to the Arctic tundra where experiments are being conducted to try to restore and slow the loss of Arctic Ice. Carol will explain the history of Arctic ice loss and why it matters. She will also explain how local scientist, Leslie Field, Ph.D., has discovered a potential way to slow the loss or Arctic ice, a key lever in climate change. Amazing photos and graphics will be presented.

Free (donations welcome). At Little House (Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center), 800 Middle Ave., Menlo Park. RSVP at 650-326-2025 or at the center's Guest Services.
