Man convicted in death of toddler

A jury has convicted a 27-year-old man of involuntary manslaughter and assault on a child resulting in death for his role in the death of his girlfriend's 18-month-old son in 2014, San Mateo County prosecutors said.

5 years for justice to be served? 1-2 years I can understand, but 5 ?

Poor child. Domestic violence is tragic.
