A year out, census prep efforts abound in San Mateo County

The countdown is on: In just a little under a year, the U.S. census will take place, a once-a-decade effort to count everyone in the U.S. and divvy up government dollars and political representation accordingly.

"Historically, the census has undercounted young children, people of color, rural residents and low-income households at higher rates than other population groups..."

Yeah. Color me shocked. America used to at least pretend we were based on fairness. Now we don't even bother.

Abhorrent that we won't count every single soul.
