This week along the Midpeninsula, Portola Valley recorded the highest home sale at $5.65 million for a 4,010-square-foot hillside home while Menlo Park reported the lowest home sale at $580,000, for a 1,240-square-foot condominium.

Those are bad overall numbers for the period, aren't they?
