Menlo Park council hashes out 2019 goals

Following roughly six hours of discussion on Saturday, Feb. 2, the Menlo Park City Council agreed to hold off until later in the month to pick its top priorities for 2019.

Did I miss the Caltrain underpasses? It’s on the critical path to the Middle Ave tunnel project. It would also be helpful to know what’s already in the pipeline and how much time that leaves for new stuff.

I think the decision on the bike and pedestrian undercrossing needs to wait until there is a decision on the tracks. If there is a decision to elevate the tracks or tunnel than the crossing is not needed. If they decide to semi-elevate the tracks with a berm and partially lower the roads or to leave the tracks as is and lower the roads under them then a crossing would be needed.
