Belle Haven structure fire quickly extinguished

A fire at a single-story home on Chilco Street in Menlo Park Saturday afternoon was extinguished in about 15 minutes, according to a press release issued by the Menlo Park Fire Protection District on Saturday evening.

This household was fortunate for being so close to the fire station, but it does underscore the risk the traffic problem creates for firefighting. Thanks to the observant neighbors and firefighters for addressing this so quickly.
