Sequoia teachers receive 3.5 percent raise

The Sequoia Union High School District Board of Trustees approved a 3.5 pay increase and a new contract for members of the district's teachers union at its meeting Wednesday.

At my job I get raises for doing a good job. Are high school students performing better than two years ago? Or do the teachers just get a raise because of the union? Even if students do no better? Does anyone know if students are doing better. Thank you.
