Today: Atherton investigating water capture facility at Menlo College

It's been nearly four months since Atherton City Council members, responding to protests from neighbors and visitors of Holbrook-Palmer Park, said they wanted to find a new location for a planned underground water storage and filtering facility. The town is hoping Menlo College might be that location. An item on a possible project is on the council's consent calendar for its meeting Sept. 19.

Water Rights:

this isn't about water storage for drought. It's about slowing flow for pollution control and flood mitigation. It's Caltrans trying to push its responsibility off on communities instead of dealing with it themselves. This has NOTHING to do with storage for drought.
