Traffic is getting so bad these days, one fears that with all these new buildings being populated shortly, traffic will grind to a halt.

All these new buildings are populating the coffers of San Mateo County, city governments, etc. with beaucoup bucks from new property taxes and developer fees.

Those who support this measure are free to support the campaign with their own bucks. Our tax dollars have been spent to create a political climate aimed at ensuring passage of Measure W. TBWB Strategies is a strategy and communications consulting firm specializing in public finance ballot measures supporting programs, services and facilities. EXCERPT: A “yes” vote is a vote to impose a one-half cent sales tax on all qualified retail transactions in San Mateo County, both in the incorporated and unincorporated areas, for a period of 30 years, beginning on July 1, 2019.
A “no” vote is a vote to not approve the proposed one-half cent sales tax.

QUESTION: What is a one-half cent sales tax? Is that per item? Per $100,000?

How about answering this, Hickey: Earlier this year, you stated that you would not seek re-election to the Sequoia Healthcare District Board. Yet, here you are, seeking yet another term to the Board -- even though you were in facor of term limits when you were first elected in 2002.
